The Florida-based I Heart Mac & Cheese added a new Long Island location this week.
On Wednesday, the mac and cheese joint launched at 812 Wheeler Road in Hauppauge, the company announced on Facebook.
Here’s how it works at I Heart Mac & Cheese:
It’s not unlike Chipotle, where customers go down the line creating their own favorite dishes, according to company reps. Mac & cheese lovers will get a choice of pasta or pastas with specialty cheese sauce and other cheeses, veggies and proteins.
There’s also the grilled cheese option (pictured above), and cookies that are baked daily in-house.
This is the island’s second I Heart Mac & Cheese — the first launched in Patchogue in 2019.
