With the help of Smithtown Historical Society, we’ve compiled a collection of images capturing Smithtown’s history and how it has evolved over the years.
The older shots are of photographs and postcards from the historical society’s archive. The present-day photos were taken by GreaterSmithtown.
The Smithtown Historical Society is located at 239 East Main Street. It’s open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and museum exhibition hours are Saturdays 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. by appointment only.
Visit their website to schedule a walking tour or to see an exhibit.
